Wynn Las Vegas, a $2.7 billion resort, is the latest creation from casino developer Steve Wynn. Wynn, famous for creating other Las Vegas landmarks such as Bellagio, the Mirage and Treasure Island. The hotel features a 110,000 square foot casino,50 story hotel tower, an 8-story man made mountain, 3 acre lake, 18 eateries, a nightclub, an ultralounge, a Ferrari and Maserati dealership, 26 retail outlets, 2 wedding chapels, a large pool complex, an 18 hole championship golf course and a new show from ‘O’ and ‘Mystere’ creator Franco Dragone.

Included in the room count are over 100 large suites and ‘Fairway Villas’ that reach 7,000 square feet in size. It is important to note that Wynn requires his chefs to be onsite instead of the absentee celebrity chefs at other resorts. A sister resort, ‘Encore at Wynn Las Vegas’, has broken ground and will open in 2008. It will feature another 2,000 rooms along with additional casino space, a spa, new restaurants and rumors of a pool complex with a retractable roof. The standard rooms at Encore will be larger than those at Wynn Las Vegas.
